About me
I'm Umay — a Business Management and Human Resource Management student at the University of Leeds, published researcher, and conference presenter.
My current research asks: "Could Artificial Intelligence be considered an employee under UK law?" The abstract has been published in the Reinvention journal — an international undergraduate research publication — and I've presented the work at both the British Conference of Undergraduate Research (BCUR) and the Undergraduate Research Conference (UGCR) in 2026.
I built this site as a space for exploring the ideas I care about: how organisations manage people, how employment law shapes the workplace, how AI is changing work, and how students and early-career professionals can navigate it all.
Everything here — the blog, the resources, the templates — is free and built to be genuinely useful. Whether you're a student figuring out your first CV, a researcher looking for guidance, or someone interested in HR and the future of work, there's something here for you.
When I'm not studying or writing, I'm probably reading about organisational psychology, exploring how technology is reshaping work, or drinking too much coffee.
